About Us

Social Agriculture Children Education And Women Development Trust

SACEWD is a nonprofit organization established in 1997. It is registered under the Indian trust act of 1882. We believe in enabling self-reliance and are committed to empowering the most disadvantaged and deprived sections of society for sustainable and comprehensive development leading to improved quality of living, with a special focus on tribal, Dalit, women, and children.
Our objectives:
  • Improving health with a life cycle approach.
  • Enhancing the status of women through solidarity and socio-economic empowerment.
  • Promotion of income generation activities for the rural women and youth for their socio-economic empowerment within their villages.
  • To organize Tribal and Dalit communities and other weaker sections of the society.

Our Programs

Women Empowerment

We enhance the promotion and protection of women’s rights through advocacy and awareness creation and initiate mitigative measures for abused women such as safe and secure alternative accommodation and other related supportive services.

Health Camp

We organized free health checkup camp for the needy at Ramanathapuram (D), Tamilnadu. More than 60 women benefitted from this camp.


Climate Change Awareness Program

We implemented a climate change awareness program. The awareness on climate change was conducted for 98 women farmers from 3 panchayats. 
After the training, 2000 saplings were distributed to the participants to plant the sapling on roadsides, parks, banks of parts, backyards of houses, etc.

Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC)

Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation was formed with a vision to transform the state into a skill hub by skilling the youth to enhance their employability and match the expectations of the Industry. Since 2013 it is functioning as a Corporation under the Labour and Employment Department.


Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Program

We organized Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Program with the collaboration of  Feed the minds united kingdom organization at  Vettanviduthi, Karambakkudi block of Pudukkottai (D), Tamil Nadu. Totally 50 high school girls benefitted from this program.
The major objectives of the program are:
  • To increase awareness among adolescent girls on Menstrual Hygiene
  • To increase access to and use of high-quality sanitary napkins for adolescent girls in rural areas.
  • To ensure safe disposal of Sanitary Napkins in an environmentally friendly manner.

Helping People living in streets

Abhaya Foundation, Telangana, extends warmth to Pudukkottai, Tamil Nadu, distributing 100 free blankets. Targeting beggars, street-living, elderly, and disabled individuals in key locations like roadsides and temples. Aiming to combat harsh conditions, the initiative reflects the foundation's commitment to community welfare. Support this cause and be a part of positive change. Tuition Centre for Children

Abhaya Foundation supported for establishing Evening Study Centers for government school children in 15 villages across Pudukkottai and Trichy districts, Tamil Nadu. Focused on empowering young minds, the initiative aims to provide a conducive learning environment beyond school hours. Join hands with Abhaya Foundation to support this noble cause. Thruvallur Migjam cyclone relief programme

NGO's Thruvallur Migjam Cyclone Relief Program on 04/01/2024 showcased unwavering support for affected communities. We started Sanitary Napkin Production Training since from Oct 2017. More than 150 women started their own businesses from this training.

Sanitary Napkin Production Training

Feed The Minds United Kingdom has supported SACEWD in training, 40 poor rural women and girls to obtain training on sanitary napkins production. These 40 participants are divided based on their social economic and cultural backgrounds such as 2 women from HIV/AIDS-affected families, and others from socially depressed Dalit women. These 40 women and girls got loans from banks.

They are preparing sanitary napkins and marketing the same and near they are earning at least Rs. 2500 - 3000 per month.

We empower women through the Self-Help Group Bank Linkage Program as a tool for sustainable development. Organized training innovative training on sustainability and banking services for indigenous women. More than 20 women benefitted from this program.

Training on bamboo and date palm leaf product making

Under the Bamboo and date palm leaf product-making program training has been given to 30 women from Ramanathapuram (D). Our Trainers taught them to make different products like sweeps, bowls, baskets, etc. after the completion of the training program now all the women started their own production and earn three to four thousand per month by selling these products. From these earnings now these women are becoming self-sufficient and started contributing financially to their families.
